GenPBR 2.4 is live with a fully redesigned PBR dashboard, streamlined generation workflow, stability improvements, and the backend groundwork for our next major release. And with GenPBR 2.5 on the way — including enhanced API analytics, hybrid pricing, updated licensing, and 30 one-time Lifetime Packages — this is the biggest evolution of GenPBR yet.

🚀 GenPBR 2.4 Is Live — And 2.5 Is Right Behind It

GenPBR is growing fast — over 50,000+ textures generated in just weeks.
Today, we’re releasing GenPBR 2.4, a major step forward in UI, stability, and workflow clarity, while laying the foundation for upcoming pricing and licensing improvements.

🎨 1. GenPBR 2.4 — New Unified PBR Dashboard

The biggest usability upgrade since launch.

The former Canvas + WebGL workflows are now combined into one clean, compact dashboard at:

/dashboard/pbr

New improvements include:

  • Unified interface — no more switching between generators

  • Ctrl+V support for base colors - quickly paste images into the file picker!

  • Less scrolling, faster workflows

  • Improved generation controls

  • Compact material preview

  • More efficient texture outputs panel

  • Better theme consistency & polish

  • Clearer loading and render feedback

The entire flow of “upload → tweak → preview → export” is now smoother and far more usable.

🐞 2. Major Stability Fixes & Under-the-Hood Improvements

2.4 also ships with important stability fixes:

  • Reduced render stalls

  • Fewer mismatches in normal map output

  • Clearer error handling & recovery

  • Strengthened backend architecture

ORM packer + non-flagship tools will receive their own dedicated fixes in the next patches — thank you for your patience.

🏗️ 3. Backend Foundation for Upcoming Pricing Changes

2.4 includes the backend rework required for:

The UI changes are what you see today — the pricing/licensing changes will roll out during the 2.5 cycle.

🧭 4. GenPBR 2.5 Preview — Coming Soon

The next update focuses on transparency and power for pro and enterprise users.

API Keys → Full Usage Analytics (2.5)

You’ll soon get:

  • Total credit usage

  • Per-endpoint statistics

  • Error counts

  • Daily/weekly consumption graphs

  • Render time insights

Think “Stripe Dashboard for textures.”

This brings real observability for pipeline engineers and teams.

🔥 5. Limited Release: 30 Lifetime Packages (Launching Today!)

To support the 2.5 upgrade, we’re releasing 30 Lifetime Licenses — once only.

Each includes:

  • Monthly recurring credits

  • 2000 IMMEDIATE credits (will be protected until 2.5 releases)

  • Permanent API allowance

  • All features, forever

  • All future updates

  • Full commercial rights

  • One-time payment

  • Zero subscription renewals, ever

  • A beautiful founder badge displayed in your dashboard and (optionally) other public facing features.

Once the 30 are claimed, these will never be offered again.

6. New Hybrid Pricing Model (2.5 Rollout)

To serve hobbyists, pros, and studios more effectively, we’re introducing:

Free Plan

  • Monthly free credits - purchased credits are eligible for full commercial rights.

  • 1K output cap

  • Non-commercial license

  • Watermarked metadata

  • Ideal for learning/testing

Pro

  • Full commercial rights

  • API access

  • Optional credit packs

  • Priority rendering

Enterprise

This keeps GenPBR accessible while making it sustainable long-term.

🛡️ 7. Updated Licensing Model (Fair + Simple)

To protect the value of paid plans:

Free → Non-commercial only

No client work
No asset packs
No commercial games
No redistribution

Paid → Full commercial rights

Client projects
Marketplace assets
API pipelines

Clear, professional, industry-standard.

🧘 8. Existing Paid Users Are Fully Grandfathered

If you currently subscribe:

  • You keep your price

  • You keep all existing features

  • You can switch to new plans later — but never required

Founding users stay protected.
